Mili is free of the troubles that plague Naseeruddin Shah’s autorickshaw driver in the satire Hero Hiralal. Rangeela’s Mili is also miles away from the casting couch and other such horrors associated with the Hindi film industry.

Like Om Shanti Om, directed by another insider (Farah Khan, Zoya Akhtar’s cousin), Luck By Chance prefers affection to anxiety. Made by an insider (Akhtar is the daughter of screenplay writers Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani and the sister of film-maker Farhan Akhtar), the movie pokes welcome fun at the flamboyant denizens of Bollywood, but stops well short of critiquing the industry’s nepotistic and profligate ways. Luck By Chance, Zoya Akhtar’s debut feature, does suggest that lies, fakery and broken promises litter the path to fame and fortune, but ever so gently. The film has also been dubbed into Tamil and has been released under the title, Naan Ee.Hindi movies that go behind the camera and explore the production process are usually more upbeat than Raaz 3 and Heroine. The movie is worth a watch not only for Telugu speaking people but also Kannada cine buffs since it has a few Kannada dialogues and Sudeep in the lead role. KK Senthilkumar has done a wonderful job behind the camera, too. Amongall the songs,Koncham Koncham, penned by Ananth Sriram and sung by Vijay Prakash -is the best. Naani, as the possessive lover, appears on the silver screen for a very brief while but does a good job, nevertheless. This film gives her the opportunity to showcase her acting skills as much as possible. Samantha, who has acted in Telugu films including Ye Maaya Chesave, Brindavanam and Dookudu, looks charming and for a change, she isn't running around trees. Naani reincarnates as a housefly and decides to teach Sudeep a lesson.ĭoes he succeed in his mission, albeit his size and whatever happens to the two broken lovers? See the film to find out. But that's where Sudeep's troubles begin. His lust forces him to kill the young boy.

While they decide to lead a happy life, Sudeep has other ideas. Meanwhile, Naani (Naani), an enthusiastic and energetic youth, falls in love with Bindu. After that, he tries all sorts of tricks in the book to get close to Bindu and craves for her hand. He decides to donate Rs15 lakh to the NGO she works with. He meets Bindu (Samatha) and is completely smitten. The film is all about Sudeep (which is also the name of the character in the film) who is not only a successful businessman but also takes special interest in beautiful women. His expressions and performance, especially in a hotel sequence where he meets the character played by Samantha and finds that she craves for somebody, are superb. It may sound like a bit of an exaggeration, but we're predicting this film to become a classic as far as Sudeep's career graph is concerned. Give the director a pat on the back he's succeeded in using technology to its best.Įven though it would have surprised most Sudeep fans to see him play a negative role, the actor has done a fantastic job. In fact the film had garnered quite a bit of interest in the past few months with everyone wondering why is a fly the protagonist of the film. And this time around, he proves his mettle once again with his latest offering, Eega (Telegu). Cast: Sudeep, Samantha, Nani, Abhiram, Crazy Mohan, Hamsa and Nandiniĭirector SS Rajamouli has films including Magadheera, Maryadhe Ramanna, Simhadri, Yamadonga and Vikramarkudu to his credit.
